Home Owner-Occupancy Rehabilitation
The Home Owner-Occupancy Rehabilitation Program targets low income individuals who have disabilities, are elderly, and or have children six years of age and under. With the use of designated funding the program goal is to bring each assisted housing unit up to either Indiana State building code standards or local rehabilitation code standards. The program allows up to $25,000 to be spent on each housing unit with the work including roofing, plumbing, electricity, carpentry, mechanical systems, and accessible construction and alterations. When combined with the Weatherization Program services homeowners can experience safe and affordable renovations that add to the quality of their lives.
