Volunteer with CASI: Help Us End Poverty in Southern Indiana

For over 60 years, Community Action of Southern Indiana (CASI) has provided a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of vulnerable Volunteer with CASI: Help Us End Poverty in Southern Indiana citizens in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison Counties. Our mission is to guide and empower families to reach self-sufficiency and improved well-being by addressing the root causes of poverty.

We believe that strong communities depend on the engagement of their members. By dedicating your time and talent, you help us embody the spirit of hope and make Southern Indiana a better place to live.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Year-Round Service

Food Pantry: Join us twice monthly to help distribute meals to neighbors in need.
Community Garden: Participate in a hands-on way to grow the community and increase local food access.
CASI Champions: Represent the agency at various community tabling events throughout Southern Indiana to help us build awareness and trust.

Signature Seasonal Events

Lend your support to high-impact moments that bring our community together:

Community Baby Shower (March): Help provide essential supplies and resources to new and expectant parents.
Community Yard Sale (May): Volunteer at this community-oriented fundraiser supporting CASI programs.
Back to School Community Health Fair (July): Assist in distributing backpacks and school supplies to help hundreds of local children start the year confident and prepared.
FestiFall (October): Help at our annual music fundraiser and biggest celebration of the year.The Gratitude Project (November): Ensure no local family goes without a Thanksgiving meal.
